and working on the new ateliers for the year of 2010, you own a galery? and need some collorful arts.....a nice collection of the canvas and objects done by'"cathedral of confusion"can be found at:
http://www.cathedralofconfusion.deviantart.com/
so things started in the new year with a lil intervieuw of a local magazine
:DE BUITENKANT - 1st edition of 2010 .
artists JOHN & MELISSA "CATHEDRAL OF CONFUSION"
When i step into the atelier of the artists it hit me instantly.
A mannequin full of lyrics, a model of a plane whose cockpit is gone.
On the wing, the words "sorry for the last flight last night".
A devote and brightly decorated statue of the holy mary belongs to one of the favorites works of melissa .
Her companion john shows a crucifix.
On the cross there is a blue collored jesus, and has the words "TUFF LIFE "on the chest, the woodwork is covered with fluffy fur.
In fact this striking art comes together in their joint paintings.
John was seized by the upcomming graffiti virus in the mid eighties.
: "It was a FREE art form that gripped me, and started to draw intense".
Melissa indicates that it was an expressive way to express to you, it was all ages trying to express their creativity.
Melissa is an all round creator,
"Obviously i got that from my mother, because she always did creative things with us ".
:Yes i can remeber my own form barbie pool, brightly colloured and marked up with signs.
Freedom in their work appears to be an important factor.
In respect of their combined works melissa says : " Yes, that's verry unique.
I met john on my work and saw some sketches he had done , & thought: we have got to mix our styles together, invited him over for a creative session and the rest is history".
The painting together is a natural process for them .
John calls it the last piece of the puzzle that felt into place.
Remarkably, the artistic display"totally in tune - their way - the right way - the only way"as they work together on one canvas.

The cathedral of confusion are involved in the physics of words, and mix it in with colors that blend or "cathedral"chaos,"gives a blogspot on the internet.
The "cathedral" is the safe harbour where in we live and the "confusion"is the confusion of the contemporary society.
John "We come in here to talk about the things we have experienced that day and intrigue you".
grab ourselves a canvas or object, and let our feelings go wild on the toppic.
Such collaberation between these two artists seems in balance.
It is therefore an perfect symbiosis: the living harmoniously together or with eachother.
"therefore more innovative".
We surely going to hear more from John & Melissa in a cathedral of confusion near you...
FANTASTIC..
